For many of these children, the inability to speak clearly becomes a profound psychological hurdle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simple acts, such as introducing oneself, can lead to years of frustration, isolation, and a lost sense of identity. However, transformation is made possible through the medical missions and outreach centres of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/smileasia.org\/about\/approach\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smile Asia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where volunteer doctors and nurses provide free surgeries that change lives. <\/span><b>Smile Asia <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a global alliance of charities working together to treat facial deformities like cleft lip and cleft palate.
