Singapore, 25 June 2025 – Can something as small as a pacifier inspire a bigger movement – one that soothes babies, protects the planet, and uplifts voices from the autism community? Pigeon Singapore officially launches the MiniLight Pacifier Sustainable Collection, a meaningful collaboration with homegrown social enterprise The Animal Project (TAP). Designed with both impact and intention, each pacifier in the collection is a quiet yet powerful symbol of inclusivity, sustainability and the creative brilliance of artists with special needs.

A Collaboration that Celebrates Inclusivity and Diverse Talents

True to Pigeon’s brand promise to “Celebrate babies the way they are”, this partnership goes further to celebrate people the way they are, especially individuals on the autism spectrum. According to the World Health Organisation, approximately 1 in 100 children are diagnosed with autism¹. This collection honours that reality by highlighting the exceptional talents of artists who see and express the world differently.

Each pacifier features exclusive hand-drawn artwork by three Singaporean artists from TAP:

  • Foo Thong Keen, who has keen eyes for observational drawing (pun intended). His animals often carry a bewildered expression; their eyes are wide open, with jaws dropped in disbelief.
  • Jolie Lim, whose illustrations have a mischievous and joyful streak. Her animal illustrations are so quirky, they put a smile on your face.
  • Tay Jun-Yi, who simply loves drawing animals. With just a black marker, he brings each creature to life through distinctive, cheeky expressions and vivid depictions of social interactions – something he rarely initiates himself due to his autism.

This isn’t just packaging; it’s a canvas for advocacy. With every purchase, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to supporting these artists, shifting perceptions from disability to creative potential. It’s a gentle act of parenting that carries a powerful message – that every child deserves love, and every individual deserves a voice.

“This collaboration with Pigeon strengthens our resolve to support inclusion and diversity. It is an excellent platform to raise greater awareness of the special needs community by celebrating their abilities rather than their disabilities,” said Roland Tay, Founder and CEO of The Animal Project.

This sentiment is echoed by Pigeon Singapore, whose commitment to purposeful partnerships lies at the heart of this collaboration.“This partnership with TAP is deeply meaningful to us,” said Hongo Masataka, Managing Director of Pigeon Singapore. “It allows us to support local talent, raise awareness about inclusivity, and bring even more heart to our products. We hope families feel the love, care and purpose woven into every detail.”

Where Comfort Meets Conscious Design

From Left to Right: Pigeon MiniLight Pacifier Sustainable Collection Size S, M and L

Thoughtfully engineered, the MiniLight Pacifier Sustainable Collection is Pigeon’s lightest ever pacifier – designed to stay in the baby’s mouth longer while providing superior comfort. Its soft silicone nipple supports natural sucking, and large air holes prevent moisture build-up. Tailored for different stages, it comes in three sizes:

Each box contains two pacifiers, each featuring a unique design inspired by the TAP artists’ original illustrations.

Beyond comfort, the MiniLight Pacifier Sustainable Collection embodies Pigeon’s belief that even the smallest products can take meaningful steps toward reducing environmental impact. The pacifier’s shield, button lid, and hygiene cover are each linked to 20% ISCC-certified bio-based plastic² derived from renewable alternatives such as residual oils rather than conventional fossil-based feedstocks. This bio-circular feedstock², selected after years of rigorous R&D, ensures a lower carbon footprint³ without compromising product safety or performance.

By integrating social and sustainable initiatives into product development, Pigeon is redefining the standards of modern baby care, offering parents a conscious option to nurture not only their children but also the planet and its people. This reflects Pigeon’s purpose to step forward in creating a more baby-friendly world for all.

The Pigeon Minilight Pacifier Sustainable Collection will be available for S$12.90 (2pcs). They can be purchased at Pigeon, Agape Babies, Baby Kingdom, Baby Toddly, Fairprice, Mothercare, Motherworks, Lazada, ShopeeThe Animal Project, Watsons, and Takashimaya.

To support The Animal Project (TAP), TAP items can be purchased through their preferred retail partner, The Art Faculty (TAF) at the Enabling Village, as well as at Pathlight School’s Ang Mo Kio and Tampines campuses.

3According to a peer-reviewed Cradle-to-Grave Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) by LyondellBasell, 2021, the use of a bio-based PP feedstock has a reduction in CO2eq per ton of polymer product compared to the equivalent fossil-based product. Cradle-to-gate LCA calculated up to the polymer production and based on a feedstock composed of waste and residues.
